Last time I looked there was still a copy of the historical CPunk
archive from JYA alive on the i2p torrent network.  Maybe somebody
will periodically upload updated torrents?  Backups are nice,
distributed anonymized backups are even more so.

For interactive use in i2p space, CPunks could be recast as a
"forum", or just route any ole *NIX list server through i2p and
use native i2p mail addresses.  Of course that won't be a thing
until or unless going dark (-ish) suits a critical mass of
subscribers.

I don't see that happening any time soon.  But then, the world
ends tomorrow, replaced by an even stranger one than appeared when
the world ended yesterday.
