In my world, people don't publish stuff that puts their [friends,
allies, fellow travelers, etc] at risk. Even to make a point. Even if
other assholes have already put that stuff out there. Documenting JYA's
fuckup was fine. Just as with any bug, vulnerability, etc. But as I've
said a few times, publishing the data was unwarranted.
