According to Baskerville Communications, the global population of cellular phone users is expected to reach 715 million within a decade, more than doubling 1998 subscription figures of 268 million. This is equivalent to 12.7% of the world's population, up from 5.5% in 1998 and 1.9% in 1995. (YAHOO) | ||
Nortel and Bay Networks Announce Completion of Merger | ||
As a result of the merger, each outstanding share of Bay Networks common stock was converted into a right to receive 0.60 of a Nortel common share and Bay Networks became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nortel.
