The assumption is that the user is unaware of the virus. Google wallet is either available/coming up as an Android application. It is reasonable to assume that a lot of phones running Android connect to the internet due to the way gmail,google chat,googlemaps and youtube is integrated into it. 

Personally, I am going to wait and watch its security for a while. There may be an issue of how this affects personal security. The user is now 'forced' to carry his wallet just by carrying his/her smartphone.
