Actually, the judge seems better than many other members of the
federal judiciary. Unlike other "material witness" cases in which
judges permitted prisoners to be held for over a year without a trial,
the judge gave the DOJ a deadline (this week) to decide what to do
with Hawash.  Well, now we know.
