How times turn.  In most schools, there's a trophy case. 
And dated not so long ago, in many of them, there are 
marksmanship trophies...  We had a varsity marksmanship 
squad, but I guess that was longer ago and further away 
than most folks are allowed to think now. 

Huzzah for the demise of school sports competitions...
