Dear Sir or Madam (Geoffrey? Julie? ;-),

Please find below a proposal for a Community Track session at GGF-14.
To my knowledge, there are no special time constraints on the scheduling
for this session (but, of course, it would be nice to be earlier in the day
when everybody is fresh).

Please let me know if this session is officially accepted (and scheduled)
so I can coordinate with the speakers.

Best Regards,

--Craig

GGF-14 Community Track Session Proposal

Network-Centric Operations Community Session
Session Chair: Dr. Craig A. Lee, lee at aero.org

Description:

Network centric operations (NCO) denote a large class of distributed
applications and infrastructure for national security. This includes
the Global Information Grid concept. Designing and deploying such an
infrastructure will require the close coordination of a number of
specific technologies, such as grids, web services, and
service-oriented architectures. Coordination of these technologies
will concomitantly require the close coordination of the industry
leaders involved in network-centric operations. This session will
bring together NCO industry leaders to publicly discuss goals and
issues, and provide an opportunity for further collaborations in this
important area.

Speakers (confirmed):
Ken Cureton, Sr. Eng. Manager, NCO Arch Eng, Boeing
Chris Gunderson, W2CoG, Executive Director
Bob Marcus, SRI and Colorado Grid Initiative
