i glanced at the article; it’s from the new yorker and appears to conflate libertarianism in general with the conservative anarchocapitalist approach it hadn't occurred to me to see privatization of services as a reduction of government because i see massive profit-oriented services (monopolies, industrial collusion) as governance.
