Hi, I am developing demist, an open-source direct democracy protocol: identity is a key pair on your phone or computer (12-word recovery phrase, no accounts, no server-side identity, no biometrics, no state, no company behind it), personhood is established by five in-person certifications (web-of-trust), and ballots are anonymous yet publicly verifiable. Civic participation is rewarded by human-based cryptocurrency (the misthos). The project is aiming at a global democratic uprising.
