Re: How Did Adrian Lamo Die?
Lets hope he didn't really die since he did far more than say, Julian Assmange , to stop the aggressive invasion of Iraq. In February 2002, he broke into the internal computer network of The New York Times, added his name to the internal database of expert sources, and used the paper's LexisNexis account to conduct research on high-profile subjects. He was convicted of compromising security at The New York Times, Microsoft*, and two other corporates. A Sunday morning story, September 8, 2002, in the New York Times made Powell's U.N. speech and the congressional debate much easier for the White House. Under the headline, “Threats and Responses: The Iraqis; U.S. Says Hussein Intensifies Quest for A-Bomb Parts,” a 3603 word story by Michael R. Gordon and Judith Miller detailed the administration’s bs case against Saddam Hussein related to weapons of mass destruction. Its interesting to speculate if Adrian could have exposed Gordon and Miller before he was caught. *Microsoft being a long time c-punk adversary
