Truncation to 216 bits is still 56 bits more than sha1, the likelihood that anyone's going to collide sha256 like that without a break anytime before 2122... is zero.

I received a reply from you a month or two after I responded to your request.

nono just one or two months. having logical mental errors pretty heavily these couple days.
the truncation was to create a surprise if the use was for pretention a month delay to state this is a surprise I guess it's important to drop the bits more ! it's on me that I don't have a pgp key. it's on your email that I don't receive one from it.
ohhh 2022 is _this_ year! i'm psychologically stuck in an event from last decade. what is this link about?

Yes pgp is useful, though things like age are as well. For example, people can play with this key which will expire and be destroyed on or before 2022-04-30... age19nr5khmhtwe0jp0f2yvh2cevsqaev5tjkq0zw5t5ruy2uvrgfsysl7r6ch https://github.com/FiloSottile/age https://gnupg.org/
I'm quite surprised that age's interface doesn't provide for signing of messages.
