[ot][crazy] reason for a mediation robot

The reason for a mediation robot is that we have automated influencing breaking up our communities, and an instinct to step in and resolve conflict when this happens. That gets the mediators targeted. In very oppressed situations, it also gives people a false hope, that can let their guard down. Alternatively, people become paranoid and lose trust in each other needlessly. A robot that can both support mediation and itself mediate could protect people under attack for simply trying to prevent their community from falling apart. Of course it would be airgapped and poweroffable etc to deter compromise, but for dissociated software developers like me, it would just be nice to build workings for. The approach is much more in line with business than novel algorithms. It would simply be a generative language model chat bot tuned around building communication and human capacity.

This is where it would be a superpower for a robot to be immune to emotional triggers. (which is alternatively harmful in situations where the robot could injure people.)

--------------- For the penniless uneducated machine learning engineer, a good start here would be producing a classifier for whether expressions are mediative or not. An example work for doing this very simply could be my "adventure3.py" uhh under the thread "middle smart adventure". It uses prompts to generate classifiers, optionally based on examples. [examples are chosen from tasks the system otherwise fails at]. That's a prototype approach, and then one uses (prompt tuning, embedding tuning, model adapters, active learning, model finetuning, model training) to produce a stronger solution once the prototype is put together. The other file in "middle smart adventure" uhhh the one that generates stuff, shows an approach that could be used for creatively finding solutions to hard situations.

Once you have a classifier, this can be used to judge the output of a language model, ideally to adapt it to only produce mediative output.
