GPS has annoying anti-civilian anti-other shutoff modes. There are three other positioning systems in the sky now. All readable by one multipurpose SDR backpack. At least as long as they remain geopolitically independent and not anti-sat whack'd, Kosmos 2542'd, X-37B'd... https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidhambling/2020/07/24/us-and-uk-accuse-russi... For extra fun, unfold your portable tinfoil uplink dish, plug in SDR backpack, brute force and fuzz the satellite control channels, reach commandeer god mode, then... Saturate all the Dish-TV's in Turkey with reruns of the Pope's Xmas Mass. Deorbit some gifts back to the TLA's front lawns. Etc.

"permanent denial of service" of your satellites... apparently this is encouraged now? ;P ``` Working with the Defense Digital Service, which its director Brett Goldstein refers to as a “SWAT team of nerds that operates in the Pentagon,” they came up with Hack-a-Sat, a space security program that invites hackers and security researchers in to find the same bugs and flaws that the enemy wants to exploit. ``` - https://techcrunch.com/2020/04/22/air-force-hack-satellite/ fun times, indeed best regards,

Yet again, you foolishly come to conclusions with no support at all. I am not "cheering" anything. I post cites to articles that I think Cypherpunks would find interesting. This means that I both cite "good news" and "bad news" issues. (Or, possibly, "news" that is neither "good" nor "bad".) Usually, I don't bother to explain my position with respect to that news, because I'm not generally into "virtue signalling". You seem to be. Jim Bell

Not foolishly at all.

And who cares about 'news' that are not 'good' nor 'bad'? Those 'news' would be pretty irrelevant by definition. They would NOT be news. The stuff you link is not 'news' but biased propaganda, regardless of you agreeing with the propaganda or not. If you don't understand what 'journalism' is and what sort of garbage the journos you link write, then you need to...get a better grasp of reality.

What - the fuck - are you talking about? What is 'virtue signalling'? I get the impression that it's some kind of jargon used by amoral assholes when called out? So back to the garbage you constantly link : 1) it's not 'news' but mostly propaganda coming from 'progressive' technocrats. 2) you have repeatedly sided with said technocrats - recall your pro-surveillance garbage and lies with the excuse of the flu Thus, I'm well justified in assuming that every time you link propaganda about the Marvelous Wonders of Technology and Americunt Progress you're siding with the enemies of freedom. Exactly like you do when you FUCKINGLY LIE about flu. I suggest that you bother adding some actual comments and content to your technofascist spam.

Hey Punk, to help clear up, I believe this list is for people who enjoy hobby engineering in domains of security. News about such technologies gives people important information to include in their various work, and can also inspire projects to work on. The people on this list make it their business to be skilled at concepts of technical security, whether or not they have training or a paid position to do so, as a hobby and a club, with an eye towards world freedom. Cypher: developing security technologies Punk: towards world freedom I haven't read any of the manifestos or anything, it just seems obvious as an ex hobby hacker myself. If you'd like to join in this work there are many ways to learn. It involves doing a lot of puzzles that, when solved, let you do things with technology that nobody else can do. Pretty much almost anything.

Just because YOU call something "propaganda" doesn't mean that it isn't something that we might want to pay some attention to. Even "propaganda" can contain information. Have you ever heard of a "reverse barometer"? Jim Bell

Indeed, propagada gives you information about the way your enemy thinks, how he tries to manipulate people, etc. So you can present a few examples of propaganda and analyze them. But that's not what you do . You constantly link propaganda as if it was fact. Lately, you even parrot a fair amount of it. Also, I'm very familiar with western propaganda, especially US propaganda. I guess you never noticed it but what I mostly do on this list is shred such propaganda to pieces. Including the propaganda you link.
Have you ever heard of a "reverse barometer"?
I didn't know the term, but I know the idea.

apart from your criminal promotion of the flu farce, which certainly sounds like 'virtue signalling', you were promoting 'cyberattacks' by the US military against iran cuba and korea. That sounds like more fascist 'virtue signalling' to me. then there are interesting ways in which you keep quiet and avoid 'virtue signalling' when it suits you. For instance, I don't think you've ever refuted any of all the white supremacist anti-libertarian garbage that James Donald posts. If you were a libertarian you would certaily have something to say about his views, and yet, you never did...
