In my opinion, crypto, even though it's not doing so hot this week, is here to stay. As an engineer I can say one thing you always want is redundancy, whether it's in technology or currency. Crypto is 100 times safer today than it was back in 2013 in terms of security, but it needs to improve more to be resilient against manipulation. It should be a commodity of which we gauge trust in Gov't currency.
