So I left reddit, because /r/easons
The engines are tools. The tools are not communities. But the communities do depend on tools to exist. What is the tool your community needs? And what will your community need in a few years from now? Come on, mirimir, why are you such a quitter ? If you build it, they will come. Redpills for all !!! engine.vichan.net list.org

You miss the point. Mirimir is just a persona, for VPN stuff. I have many other personas on reddit.

Danka schön  Was pressed to create a #shitter account about 6 years - never logged into it. apt-cache search twitter seems to show a few apps for twitter Email is sort of conducive to actual conversations. FaceSlut, which I did try using for about 3 weeks (then promptly stopped when I realised a) being so addicted was not useful b) I only new less than half my Faceslut "friends" and c) three weeks of that experience was, ah, enough. And then shitter came out with even more ephemeral, less substance, and so the intention to avoid it ever since continued in like manner to FriendSlut. Is microblogging actually useful for anything? Is it conduce to conversations, to receiving headline news at least 15 seconds before my favourite alt-news website, or to making a cup of coffee for me? Finally, does it cross-microblog with the behemeth in the virtual room, #shitter ? The real question is whether there is a decent transition plan to encourage normies to get off their proprietary addictions onto something better, freer, with rainbows and kicking savannah Gnus attached? Many questions, not many answers yet... :) On Sun, Apr 09, 2017 at 04:47:28PM +0200, No wrote:

Microblogging should have helped start a planetary shift, but maybe it will be useful after one.
The real question is whether there is a decent transition plan to encourage normies to get off their proprietary addictions onto something better, freer, with rainbows and kicking savannah Gnus attached?
There is a transition plan, but apparently no one's started yet. I made a page for [[ignite]]ing one at wiki.hackerspaces.org. It paves the way to start the snowball rolling downhill, so far, no one's started.

Much impatience. It's like being a racehorse trained to win, only having to spin hamster wheels waiting for the gates to open. Unfortunatley, I'm not a gatekeeper. Anyone know one? \0xd
