Japan, as always, leads the way in common sense on this immigration issue. The crux is this: to the fractional reserve banking system, GDP is a relevant figure. To individuals, the only relevant figure is GDP per capita. Well duh! And in real life, across countries, "there is absolutely no correlation between population growth and GDP per capita" in the OECD countries. "GDP does not depend on a growing population, and there is virtually no relation" between them.
