[notes][spam] Wikileaks Not Serving Crucial Pages
While I'm looking at this, I'm noticing that it's much harder than it has been in the past to find direct downloads on the wikileaks pages. Wikileaks is giving nginx 502 errors. In the main view, a thread named "pedo island" has significantly more votes than this thread. it is 2 days old, whereas the 502 error thread is 1 day old.

This spotty history indicates the problem is likely a powerful network attack.
- I failed to form a communication channel to someone affiliated with wikileaks. I did not pursue this very much. - I was able to access their .onion material submission form. - I failed to access their .onion chat service. I'm very out of date and inexperienced, but I'd expect this situation to resolve itself over the next few months, given the history shows changing uptime.
I also failed to find the material _elsewhere_ . The mirrors I tried had all been domain-sniped.
I did find it on archive.org and emailed that to douglas. I've seen attacks on archive.org data, so I'm uncomfortable sharing that. I didn't check to see if the archive contains the actual content, unfortunately, just that it existed.
It's important to mirror wikileaks.org somewhere better than the conventional web! There is so much more that is important too!
omigod was my tor binary out of date. i've updated it! it was _so_ out of date. not using it for anything.
