Cryptocurrency: Anonymous to Invest $75M of Crypto to Develop Privacy Coins and Anon Tech
Is there a location at which these proposals have been published?
They are not currently publishing the applications by default because they currently view that as harming potential startups. Though you can send them project press releases for publishing to: chris_unknown_fund@protonmail.com There are probably no third party locations because most proposals are likely to be from typical "startup" space that is usually trying to secretly extract money from each other and the market, than giving good things to the world.
Has anyone proposed what we propose doing, building an anonymization network... done-right?
Unknown. But if you're serious about doing anything with them you need to get at least some kind of hello application in now because they have a lot of apps in the pipeline, and they say applications are closed. So it'll have to be something good to bypass the rest. As to some recently mentioned ones... 1) A new general purpose secure *PA resistant internet overlay transport network built from good current and new research, including use of pluggable RF module tech. Many apps can ride. And it should be designed to be a factor stronger than tor, i2p, and all the rest are today. 2) An OpenAudited OpenFab building OpenHW (including CPU, GPU, ASIC, RF, Phones), to run all the OpenSW on. 3) There should be an application for strictly a cryptocurrency... distributed, privacy in protocol by default, cpu transaction mined, no 100GB's of blockchain history only a UTXO state db, and strictly serving only the "currency / money / cash" function, fast lightweight hard, no premine, no support for tokens, contracts, data, or any other bloatware at all, just a plain old fashioned single purpose cash. Maybe multisig and timelock for safer holding, but that's it, the less the better will yield recognition as purely money and reach primary goal of cryptocurrency adoption faster therein. It must be capable of running over anonymous overlay networks. 4) And an application for a genuine fully distributed cross-chain DEX (CCDEX) is a remaining tech that is desperately needed to help complete the cryptocurrency function space. It must be capable of running over anonymous overlay networks. Few want to do 1, 3, or 4, because when done right, there's no profit or control over other people for them to have, and that's how it should be. Though 2 can profit once it gets running, it would be better if it spent its profit to seed independant redundant copies of itself and or other needed projects. So far most of the online chatter seems to be about getting yet more pointless shitcoins off the ground than working on fundamental underlying tech the fund, or at least some of us, would like to see. I'd even help review some of the apps but I'm not in that loop. https://www.unknown.fund/ https://twitter.com/fund_unknown anon_fund@protonmail.com chris_unknown_fund@protonmail.com

That's what cypherpunks are her for tho. Nobody makes any money from, say, OpenPGP and that's why the infrastructure is in the state it currently is (non-maintained). And that's how it should be: real citizens writing good and helpful software for other citizens. I'm new to the club. How would one, as a 'cypherpunk' develop cool and helpful technology without a) living below poverty line and b) being conveniently killed by a US sponsored electrical fire and c) secretly being on US military payroll like many other self-proclaimed 'defenders of privacy'. Maybe throw me a URI of some sorts. This seems to be the piece of the picture which I am currently lacking. Adéla, 🇩🇪 On 2019-12-01 00.40 UTC+1 grarpamp wrote:

You're not the only one lacking the picture. The state of "The West" is that we are bound to debt of incredible magnitude. The Fed established a regime of money which is fiat, not gold and silver coin, and has enslaved much of the world into this scheme. The scheme is also built on centralised and government controlled schooling which keeps the average joe stupid, "in permanent competition", focussed on self (nihilistic), and avoiding confront (failing to solve his own problems). So individual problems are endemic, and the driver is systemic (so called "debt" of our governments). Ultimately, with today's technology, there is no reason we cannot all be abundant and "locally self sufficient" with food, water, clothing and housing, and at the community level, self sufficient in transport, communication and technology. Whilst this one little private troll family literally decides the interest rates and "money" creation levels for most of the world, we shall remain materially enslaved. Here's a suggestion, rather than focus on problems, instead focus on what gives life to your heart, joy to your days and peace to your soul. Sit and enjoy a sunset, a beach, family and friends. Go bushwalking or cycling or canoeing and breathe in nature, revel with a run in the summer rains and laugh with your children. There are 10s of 1000s of farmers who would most gladly take you in for a month of sheep shackling, cow corralling or hay harvesting. Get involved in the WOOF/ WWOOF er movements, inspire those you meet with tech talk, and sprinkle your days with programming, design, nature, talk, music and love. Start living a life worth living. If you "are bound with family" then make plans -with- your family for a great future - perhaps that's a more rural thing for you, perhaps a beach life, perhaps boat or car racing - whatever floats -your- family's boat. We live in relatively incredible abundance.

Most opensource software and hardware development still occurs on the side in free time over a span of time. Whether cushy govcorp job, or warehouse worker, might make little difference in free time and hidden talent and interests invested over such time. More cash or cashflow makes more free time possible, even equally does throwing out the TV and other wastes. So far Satoshi's and hundred of other Anonymous use of anon ops tech seems to be holding up, or at least the NSA et al have still chosen not to tip their hat. Many now take crypto donations. Or just start some non-profit or cypherpunk collective and do it all in public under the sun of free speech. Even ignoring any meta issues of who, where, for how much, why etc... tor and other networks would still take lots of valid heat because of their design failings up against certain types of adversarial attacks. Opensource code should ultimately stand on its own strength, design, correctness, bug free, and application use case... independant from the meta. There are certainly no absolutes there, only a continuum for pundits. Many different ways to approach different projects. If it's a project that needs doing, the "how" will mostly figure itself out. Have fun :)
