Slavery was Formally Abolished Today, Happy Freedom Day
Today is Freedom Day in the United States. This is the day the abolition of slavery was signed into law. Many slaves cannot even say the word "freedom" safely. The word may come across as sarcastic or pointless. But we have a holiday to celebrate its serious, literal meaning. This holiday was signed into law by Harry Truman and commemorates the freedom law signed by Abraham Lincoln. The United Nations has extensive references around the ongoing prevention of human trafficking: https://www.unodc.org/unodc/en/human-trafficking/what-is-human-trafficking.h... I'll send them an e-mail asking for localised resources. If you contact a human trafficking rescue organisation of any kind, it's important to remember that the workers may not be familiar at all with coercive silence. They will expect you to be able to say directly and clearly what they need to know to be able to help you, and for you to ask for this help. If you can do this, they often can help, in the USA. The National Human Trafficking Hotline in the USA is: Voice: 1-888-373-7888 Text: 233733 Web Chat: https://humantraffickinghotline.org/chat (only during some hours of day) There are other human trafficking hotlines in the USA, both national and regional, although in some states they do not have a large presence. I do not have other links at the moment, I'm afraid.
That hotline can also be contacted via e-mail at help@humantraffickinghotline.org . This information is listed at https://humantraffickinghotline.org/get-help .

OK, we need some facts here. Arch-criminal lincoln stated : "My paramount object in this struggle is to save the Union, and is not either to save or to destroy slavery. If I could save the Union without freeing any slave I would do it, and if I could save it by freeing all the slaves I would do it; and if I could save it by freeing some and leaving others alone I would also do that. What I do about slavery, and the colored race, I do because I believe it helps to save the Union; and what I forbear, I forbear because I do not believe it would help to save the Union." so called 13th enmierda states : “Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States" so slavery is 'legal' in the US.
I don't know what a comparable international holiday is, but if you don't live in the USA and would like such a holiday, it is probably fine to celebrate our holiday.

why on earth would anybody adopt such a travesty 'holiday'? Look, the 'culture' that the US export is toxic waste. The US promoting something called 'freedom day' is just more insane, US fascist propaganda. I'd assume Karl that you don't want to further promote the influence of US govcorp so consider that your offer isn't really helpful. prevention of human trafficking: 'human trafficking' is a codeword used by anti-sex anti-prostitution 'activists'.
Juan, you don't mean these things you say here. You don't have to say them in this thread.

Of course I mean what I say. And I say what I mean.

Why would I let that sort of US govt propaganda pass? I find it especially repulsive. Maybe you shouldn't be promoting the US govt on this list? And painting the US govt as being opposed to slavery, a preposterous idea. https://humantraffickinghotline.org/national-hotline-overview "received $3.5 million through competitive funding through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Grant # 90ZV0134-01-00. The project will be financed with 71.87% of federal funds and 28.13% ($1.37 million) by non-governmental sources" of course that '28%' of 'non govt sources' comes from 'private' fascists of the bill gates-soros kind.
It's true that slavery isn't gone. It isn't true that everyone has to suffer (or pay) to live. It is true that many are led to believe that is the case. On 2/5/21, \0xDynamite <dreamingforward@gmail.com> wrote:

Creating agorist or what have you communities, requires intention, networking in real life, and action and persistence over time. The time to start is whenever you choose to start. Folks want everything handed to them. That's dysfunctional, so start with a better program, right now. Robotics is coming - along with either UBI or some new concept which may even do away with that. In the mean time, find actual real life folks you want to be around, and create something. Or don't - but perhaps in that case don't complain... There are folks all zinging and finding one another, collating all sorts of info - happening now, every moment on TG and elsewhere. Find them. Comm with them. Create your world. If any topic important to you is challenging, feel free to ask either publicly here or elsewhere, or on a e.g. TG group, or e.g. in "private" one on one with someone you feel may be useful to help you clarify your own thoughts, fears, whatever (e.g., you may email me any time, and most folks in my experience are happy to 'chat' if you hit them up with an email - quite a few folks have helped me here and there, thank you, you know who you are... it always means a lot to me). Here's a random question which arose in a conversation a couple weeks back: What is the "age of consent"? Initially it appears as a statute costructed by 'elected' 'officials', with social foundations 'apparently relevant to our general community/ society'. Is it actually the age of consent to adultery? (The traditional/biblical concept since time immemorial?) Is it also the age of consent to marriage? What about the concept consent to betrothal? Consent to sex inside marriage? Does overloading multiple concepts into one phrase, limit our very thoughts and therefore 'possible' conversations? Is it useful to our broader community to separate some of these concepts? Should we oppose Satanic child-torturing cannibals? I tell you this: I'm ... hanging ... on Sunday's Superbowl puppy show… Some people are just ... dying ... to be part of it. Nothing quite like putting your ... neck out ... for Satan. What goes around comes around, and I don't know the exact sequence of God's plan, but the Earth has been shaking here and there - something Biblical is literally afoot. Any interesting phenomena you notice in the sky, whip out your phone camera and film it - sometimes your camera will pick up things just outside visible spectrum, plus you can zoom in after the fact. Enjoy the show ;) Good luck and God speed, On Fri, Feb 05, 2021 at 02:53:18PM -0600, \0xDynamite wrote:

P.S.: Slavery will not be gone until folks stop expecting others to do everything for them. At LEAST help to catalyze folks to grow SOMEthing edible - tomatoes, potatoes, or sheesh even a few herbs on the kitchen windowsill. And filter your water - even if you're on rainwater tanks, birds do shit parasites onto your roof, which goes into your tank, so filter your drinking water at least. Boiling water also kills most problems, but filtering is still advised... We can create an awesome reality, but it will require co-operation and action, over time... A bit late, but here is a list of international organisations that can likely help around this: https://www.endslaverynow.org/connect Something to remember is that the people who work for these places generally honestly and passionately want to help. Just because something looks like it is coerced or subverted does not mean help is not present. It just means they are still growing and understanding. Regarding others on the list, I personally get confused when I try to think about it rationally, and I don't really know for sure. I hope you are all well.
