A successful crypto in cpunk context can only be defined as one being able to withstand all rational Govt and Corp attacks, else you are using Fiat by any other name (digital, cbdc, corp, shit, etc). If Patent / License / Copyright is required for a crypto to withstand such an attack, Govt will simply cancel them, and the crypto will fail. This also means all crypto Patents are pointless and moot, and more interestingly are proof of at least nefarious cooperation with Govt, thus sadly again you are using Fiat by any other name. And thus nChain etc, and anything touched by or using it, is Fiat garbage.
