[ot][spam][crazy] holding community goals
it's hard for me to hold community goals, but there's an idea of considering them as a puzzle. a big issue is that the mind bits quickly change them to be either mind controlling people or spreading political propaganda, no matter what the goal is our how it is considered pursued.
stone soup is kind of a puzzle, no? like building a spaceship out of wet noodles
here's an idea: we could make friends by giving money to people concerns: - people might take the money and run for advantage - disruptors might take our money to harm and discourage us - friendships might not be real, more purchased positive parts: - people might experience appreciation for receiving money - people might be willing to spend time with us, or engage in behaviors we want to do with others
the idea is raised because it is very simple and easy to analyse. here are further concerns. these frightening concerns are ridiculous: - we might make an empire of communism or social by inspiring everyone with giving - we might empower evil people by giving them money via other routes - we might start a terrorist organisation via funding these are all ridiculous concerns that i'm very scared of!
in the end, i only have a little money i'm interested in spending, so my friends would be homeless beggars, and they mostly be getting money from places other than me.
Here's an idea we could hire people with words. The payment would be kind words, for proper work done. Payday arrives. People crowd around. "I would like to cash my paycheck. I've earned 3 thank yous and 2 personal encouragements." "What's your name?" "Jeff Smith." [hands check] [flips through books] "Jeff Smith, thank you so much for your work with us. When you helped this past payment cycle, it really aided so many things in so many ways. I personally am using many of the things you worked on, as are many of my friends and family. Thank you so, so much for these things. You can count on me if you are ever in a time of need, and I want you to know that I really look up to you, and the things you were trying this week look like they're really going to work. It's obvious to me that you can do anything you can put your mind to, and I think about you when I encounter new challenges now." "Thank you. Can I have my receipt?" "Wait for the printer."
of course, payment in thank-yous only works if they are honestly and truly given, because they then represent an unspoken pact to support the recipient in other ways. we call this pact "friendship".
popular broke person the world is mostly populated by people like this "oh, I have so many friends who will support me, but none of us have any money!"
here we have the socialist slaver Socialist Slaver: "Everybody is friends. Bosses are enslaving them. Free them all." Slave: "So long as I can blame you for it."
