I'm afraid that *funding* is the biggest hurdle to achieving Rogaway's goals. It's somewhat easier for Rogaway, as he has tenure, but how does a young crypto researcher get non-DoD funding?
And yet he expressed fear that an errant remark on a phone call would lead to his assassination? I will trust him if he has a suspicious suicide, otherwise the hyperbole is more cause for suspicion.
