Around 2500 years ago Gautma Buddha created first Sanga(Group or Community). The basic idea behind to create sangha was to make people's mind stable and free from fears ( fear of death,fear of money etc). Sangha is the community with no money. The movie was interesting. Regarding the jesus myth/scam yes it probably stole some elements from buddhism, which is not surprising since the jesus scam stole elements from various different sources. Anyway, I never bothered researching buddhism and I (wrongly) assumed it was a a more decent and 'philosophical' doctrine but looking at the connection between buddhism and christianity, I'm going to conclude that buddhism is a piece of shit like jew-christianity. Also, now we have a buddhist preacher posting propaganda against decentralized trustless networks....
