Use RFC 2549[1] with good old OTPs and case can be closed. :-) [1] Should be updated IMHO for cheap and littel toy drones, if Cypherpunks (in case they would still exist) write routing software for that, so that an operator is not needed, when sending a letter from one home to another, in a city. :-) Regards and Good Night, Stefan

What are peoples current estimated years for when QC will... a) Break some of today's modern yet non-PQC cryptosystems? and/or b) Give major speedups or scaling to some other realworld applications? a) According to the ECC Conference hold a year ago, or so, it was estimated in 10 years. b) Quantum Supremacy will be archived by non-US/Canadian companies, as understood, operating at room temperature and lower prices. Units are already available. Regards Stefan

yes, exactly 10 years from today.
b) Quantum Supremacy will be archived by non-US/Canadian companies, as understood, operating at room temperature and lower prices. Units are already available.
so 'quantum supremacy' has been achieved....?

I seem to recall that cryptosystems based on multi-dimensional lattices are thought to be quantum-resistant. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lattice-based_cryptography?wprov=sfla1

so 'quantum supremacy' has been achieved....? I said 'will be', because these unit are much cheaper and mach smaller, like the ones we have seen so far. Regards Stefan

I seem to recall that cryptosystems based on multi-dimensional lattices are thought to be quantum-resistant. As understood, yes, and that was the reason why NIST run a competition and I think the winners fromround 3 are already announced. But the problem, IMHO, is all the collected encrypted data from theInternet, obtained by third parties.RegardsStefan
