Things are barely starting to get real now re government. Many of them seem to secretly realize the possibilities with their own portfolio, flexibility, privacy, etc such that banning or doing much of anything besides letting it run isn't going to leave them sitting pretty in the end. No doubt some are fake bashing it just to buy more time to learn how to fill their own bags. At which point they're hodlers and can't kill it without committing personal financial suicide.
