But, because I discovered a few years ago that the 1995 Cypherpunks archive had been massively forged, that fact would no longer be apparent to anybody who didn't have the accurate archive or at least an excellent memory.
That’s right.I hadn't yet been born in those years. But this problem is still going on. This is understandable when the archive of the last few years has been reviewed.I have a strongest memory, and I can see there's a lot missing.
So, I believed and still believe that the Internet is a threat to government.
The Internet is not a threat to governments, it's a tool they use to gain “power.” Right now the US has that EARN-IT at being reintroduced in the legislature. It's an effort to surveillance, track, potentially save all internet traffic through the US. My first language is Turkish, but I speak English everywhere. Why?Because there's too much surveillance in my country.many people were arrested for sharing their thoughts on Twitter or other platforms. My dad was under pressure,He was under a lot of pressure just because his political opinion was different. One of his closest friends was a journalist and went to Germany as a political refugee.Their only crimes were saying things that the government didn't like. The government has always used their Internet records here against people. They wouldn't let people use these records against the government
Do you still think the Internet is a threat to governments?
Surveillance causes changes in people.Clearly, I'm not sure I want to see this change.
