The only way to end the endless war on drugs, is to actually end the war on drugs and legalise all drugs: I very much agree with that.

I think the probability of the US Government quickly and completely ending the war on drugs is very low. But that doesn't mean it won't eventually occur. But way too slowly. The 'parade of horribles' predicted by the legalization of pot is not comining true.
It's quite humorous really - all the docs of the cocaine trail blazed by the CIA decades ago (and ever since) to create a dark finance fund for their nefarious activities, are essentially now public, and mostly unredacted. Yet the impact of this public record is "meh, yo conspiracy, obey the statute fellow NPC!" There is SO much black money around drugs it's amazing - even multi billion dollar hedge fund ships are in on the action :) And the funniest funny part? It's all done in plain sight - who hasn't seen those pictures of perfectly laid out twin (brand new) prime movers and their semi trailers, with 100s upon 100s of Kg of absolutely perfectly sealed and extremely gently placed and packed cocaine in perfect matching rows 'photoshoots' ("for the law is being upheld") :D How else are thousands of tonnes of cocaine brought into North America, except in plain sight and with the aide of "law enforcement officials" :D Nothing like prohibition to keep prices sky high. An nothing like having a nation of compliant sleepy sheeple to sell it to too :/ What a world...
