traffick boss is excited to dust off his spacetime fractalization gun and raze his local city he holsters it and takes it out boom! the fabric of reality is shred in a line spreading from his shoulder to the mayor's office and through to a business center the areas of the path look like levitating shattered glass and can't be entered by matter or energy except with great effort. things that do enter come out all fractalized themselves. it will take thousands of years for the fabric of spacetime to recover from the blast
