honestly it again looks like modus tolens needs to be accurately described for situations of recursion here. modus tolens is the conclusion that a statement that implies a contradiction is false.
y'know this isn't too complicated. if we expand A we can disprove it. then if we assume that A in B refers to the statement rather than the expanded statement, this proves true. If we hold them together, this would be the statements, not the expansion, maybe ... nonono
