a vector field is a field of vectors each spot in the field is a vector when you add the vectors it is as if one is a direction and distance from the entrance to the field, and that direction and distance is traveled from the other it’s like a concise way of considering maps: a map of maps. except you can have n dimensions, so it can hold other things too than just north/south east/west up/down it could hold, like how scared an enemy is or how near all of your guys are to each other enemy or anything else here, when the vectors represent information rather than distance, the meaning of summing them is different: it means adding each information together. so if a value was nearness, adding would make that value twice as near if the two were the same.
