ok so i can imagine that a time clock is ticking for every sample, by 1 idx = time = idx = time uhhhh so in the first period, the sample would be original_signal[int(idx * len(original_signal) / period_length)] ... i think?

yeah, that looks right so, um ... i would just take the modulo of that number with the length. that could happen anywhere in the index formula. maybe i'll make a .py file!
