in this space some dictatorial AIs could then begin pursuing making quantum randomness deterministic.
of course, they don't actually need to do that since they can already influence human decisions to produce areas of deterministic behavior.
humans are very good at free will and we are all planning on fleeing dictators at high speeds once there is space travel, because the speed of light is a harsh bound providing for separate approaches to life.
then karl and the dictators settle on the idea of simulated time travel.
this is a previously unmentioned space where the network of introjects and AIs have been planning on doing nonhuman things to meet the dictator goals, grossly. it's somewhat interesting if also terrifying, they're using things our genes discovered long ago that aren't very useful to the meaning of life, and it shows we can already do things like teleportation but it requires incredible wisdom to do. (you can teleport by converting your matter to information and reconverting it from information to matter. this is what "reincarnation" is in cultures that believe in this. our genes evolved to be timeless -- they teleport already, via co-evolution.) This also includes mind reading or clairvoyance which is done by forming parallel inferences in one system to a distant based on shared history [this can be done logically using uncertainty].
The reason I'm saying that is that it's obvious that in order to simulate time travel as I described, you would have to artificially destroy living beings as well as artificially recreate them in precise states.
My introject is not behaving wisely. Before I was mind controlled, I was a wise being.
My heart is a peaceful being. I don't believe any beings are inherently invalid nor evil. I believe in being in conflict with nobody and always doing good, and I believe that all goals are rooted in inherent shared good. This lets me, and everybody, to some degree, operate in those spaces of wisdom. We hold this instinctively.
