The HOPE panel on snitching featured Lamo, but others on the panel told more informative tales. Emmanuel Goldstein reminded that it was estimated that 25% of hackers were informers (as he said he was). Other panelists reported on what happens to those who snitch and those who do not. If you haven't been interrogated and pressured by the feds, along with coercion of your family, friends and hacker buddies, and have a prison record to increase penalties for non-cooperation, you don't know shit. Consider Lamo wondered if Manning was aiming to entrap, witting or unwitting. Still worth considering what backstabbing deals are in the works in the Assange global snitchfest.
