Wait is this about surveillance, or about taxes?
Govt wants total authoritarian control and ownership over you. To effect that it must first be able to see you, thus SpyVeillance is the first enabler of that, then comes the Govt theft of personal property they call taxes, arbitrary censorship of your life and out of transaction making in the market, etc. Yes, and yes. So don't let those happen, fight back, people should call the number and do that, and in whatever other ways.
Surveillance bills must provide for universal surveillance by all common people, not that which privileges the government nor its employees.
Government will, by definition of its own self-preservation, NEVER do anything or pass any bill which de-privileges itself (or its "employees" (aka criminals) that literally steal your money and give it to themselves), on net vs everyone else, ever... it never has, and it never will. This is also why you will never see politicians passing law to force all of themselves to wear bodycams livestreaming 24x365. If you mean yoiu want surveillance among non-govt "common people", then go preach and maybe some people will voluntarily agree to have themselves surveilled like that. However few will choose that, and there is no legitimate basis upon which to force people to. Nor are there really anyone freely "lifecamming" themselves 24x365 either, surely not beyond the initial stunt/exploratory period.
