Often death reaches those who are partly suicidal because there is nobody who understands being suicidal. The experience is met with shock by society, which reflects that shock back to the person in need. When death is the only option, it is a great relief to have it present. But similarly, we need to provide people with avenues to find other options. One such avenue is Alt2Su: https://alt2su-nsw.net/ . People in this group do not support forcible medication or restrainment, and have all been suicidal. When committing suicide, the moment one is most likely to change one's mind about it, is at the final moment when they have the opportunity to stop it. The "life instinct" kicks in, and kind of flashes everything before one's eyes, right before there is no other way to change the course of events. This could be a good place to put a message in an open hardware suicide booth. Maybe something like "there is somebody who understands / there is a real escape".
