No doubt as I post this, someone reading it will think "I know this, I took a class on it"

The US government is illegitimate, uncredible, and irrelevant. 

Hopefully the members of the US government will become like the Stuart legitimatists, increasingly a bunch of old men in social clubs pining for some sort of different era.
