I figured this out easily: The problem is that Ric's address, wayward4now@gmail.com, is not subscribed to the list. Ric, subscribe here: https://lists.cpunks.org/mailman/listinfo The mystery, though, was why Ric didn't get a bounce. It turns out the list was set to silently discard messages from non-subscribers, rather than reject (i.e., bounce) them. So, from non-subscribers, this would look like the message was accepted, but it wasn't, and never got posted. I have now found and changed the setting in Mailman ("generic_nonmember_action" under "Privacy options ... Sender filters"). Such messages will now instead be rejected. So, people who post from an address that is not subscribed will get a message that the list is for subscribers only. Certainly this is the expected behavior, rather than messages being accepted and then silently dropped. It's not immediately clear to me whether I twiddled this setting myself, when we moved the lists, or this was already the setting from the old site when Riad managed the list. Mea culpa, if I'm the guilty party. I hope this config change addresses the anomalies that people have spotted recently, with some messages that appeared to be accepted for posting, but never got posted or archived. Thanks for sending the full headers and other details shortly after the mishap. That made it very easy to verify that Postfix/postgrey/etc. received the message properly and provided it to Mailman, but then Mailman didn't post it. Hi Greg, again, here's another email from Ric - received two this morning (AU time) and they don't appear in the list archives.
Is there a forwarding/rejection problem?
TIA, Zenaan

The Sunspot Observatory in New Mexico’s Sacramento Mountains has been closed since Thursday under a shroud of mystery after the FBI evacuated it for reasons they would not explain to local authorities.
It's simple. The Aztecs got it right. The Sun, fed up with all the bullshit here on Earth, decided to talk to us but wasn't interested in some dialog with some assholes. Of course the FBI went ape and wanted to know who the Sun thought is was to refuse to negotiate by holding the observatory hostage. Same ole same ole, nothing to see here while our Guardians defend us. Ric
