Well I must be an outlier then because I get on MUCH BETTER with
Mexican workers than American lazy bums and I DEFINITELY relate
better to people of Muslim background than my own religious
background, Jewish. The slum neighborhood I live at on the Lower
East Side in the 60s and 70s had community, and I WAS part of it.
The nice white neighborhood I grew up in had a 'community center',
where no community was ever found.
But I guess it all depends on whether you looking to LIKE people
and be liked (in other words looking to USE them and be used) or
COMMUNICATE with like minds (collaborate).
OFC Libertarians are in the former category...
If you look at the chart at Wonkblog's post, for Asians, you'll
see they have almost zero Black 'friends'. It's well known asians
are about the most racist people on the planet. So these charts,
ESPECIALLY THE WONKBLOG CHARTS, which I saw months ago along with
the statement of intent to match what I'm about to say, in my
estimation, indicate degrees of racism in given ethnic groups, not
who LIKES who.
The article was written by a guy who writes single-sided garbage like this:
"Many people like to imagine that Islamic terrorism is supported by almost no one in the Muslim world. That is not the reality of the situation. Surveys done in Germany, England, France, and Spain, suggest that about 1 in 4 Muslims think that violence against civilians in the name of Islam can be justified. "

Of COURSE he doesn't mention the fact that almost every christian
in the industrialized world would allow the wiping out of muslims
in a heartbeat. They do. Right now. It's not a hypothetical.

Lookin' pretty right wing racist there Zen... But I know NZ is
SERIOUSLY racist, so I wouldn't expect otherwise from you. You
were indoctrinated badly but you're grown up now and should know
better.

Let's begin to confront this one head on: http://thealternativehypothesis.org/index.php/2016/04/15/ethnic-diversity-and-social-cohesion/ " Summary: Research shows that people like those who are similar to them. Moreover, the more heritable a trait is the more important similarity in it is to friends and spouses. Thus, people enjoy the company of those who are genetically similar to them. This may explain why people to marry, befriend, and live near, members of their own race for more than randomness would predict. Moreover, a rich literature of correlational, longitudinal, and experimental, data shows that people get along better with members of their own race and that ethnic diversity damages social cohesion. ... The experimental evidence is pretty straightforward: researchers measure various traits of individuals before they meet and then see whether pre meeting similarity predict who ends up liking who. The finding, repeated over dozens of studies, is that the more similar people are the more they end up liking each-other (Bryne, 1971; NewComb, 1961; Lee, 1996; Myers, 2008 pg 400 [links in original article] ). ... In conclusion, the totality of evidence clearly shows that ethnic diversity damages how well people get along, how much they trust one another, and how satisfied they are with their lives. These findings should be kept in mind when thinking about any form of racial diversity, regardless of the races involved. "
