Here's to wishing dynasties of politcal lies around the world drop fucking dead.
Some weeks ago there was a flap over her "slipping on the ice" going up some steps in a couple of widely circulated press photos. I looked up Hillary's speech venues to place her in a town and the weather websites did the rest: No ice. No overnight freeze, mild daytime temperatures consistent with the clothing worn by all present, shadows indicated the sun at least 30 degrees above the horizon. That's when I started paying attention: Why the lie? H. Rottendamn Clinton is an Old Lady on a grueling speaking tour, she stumbled, so what? The closer one looks, the worse the story gets. I don't know whether to wish her a speedy recovery or to be afraid, very afraid because that would hand her a certain football to play with. Check her circle of friends: Clinton’s National Security Advisers A “Who’s Who” of the Warfare State via The Intercept: https://theintercept.com/2016/09/08/hillary-clintons-national-security-advis... =or= https://tinyurl.com/hrc-warpigs ========================================== Some amusing political essays relevant to advisers and such: ========================================== The Power Elite, C. Wright Mills Oxford University Press, 1956 https://tinyurl.com/elitepower "Of the three types of circle that compose the power elite today, it is the military that has benefited the most in its enhanced power, although the corporate circles have also become more explicitly entrenched in the more public decision-making circles. It is the professional politician that has lost the most, so much that in examining the events and decisions, one is tempted to speak of a political vacuum in which the corporate rich and the high warlord, in their coinciding interests, rule. ========================================== National Security and Double Government, Michael J. Glennon, Harvard National Security Journal, 2014 http://tinyurl.com/thedeepstate "The United States has, in short, moved beyond a mere imperial presidency to a bifurcated system — a structure of double government — in which even the President now exercises little substantive control over the overall direction of U.S. national security policy. Whereas Britain’s dual institutions evolved towards a concealed republic, America’s have evolved in the opposite direction, toward greater centralization, less accountability, and emergent autocracy." ==========================================
