100% agree with your thoughts on tor as a network (ie; using it does nothing but protect the creators due to the core design principle — the ‘tech behind it’ need not be changed nor understood, if this is. as well, the above quoted statement reminded me only of the proverb, “don’t put all your eggs in one basket”.
