so the morning spam scene starts out with an assassin getting "activated" [[, ie "triggering" a "mind control program" or "alter switch" or something like that]]
this is something we see in the real world. per my example of "enforced silence", there are various things that "activate" or "trigger" or etc people when mentioned.
for example if you say "mafia" to some people they'll get serious.
sadly many of these are actual things that need mentioning and can be severely important.
additionally different groups seem to disagree on what is crucial to mention, vs taboo
i do like the idea of learning these triggers and navigating the social space with great wisdom. this is the best path. unfortunately when you get trafficked yourself this becomes much harder due to amnesia. amnesia is the common denominator of trafficking and severe coercive symptoms.
