why are icebergs mostly underwater? is that how huge thin*s of ice behave just normally? ummmmmmm thinking … water is displaced only by the ice underwater so [dropped it but the conclusion is that ice behaves this way naturally. the material above water increases the effective density of the ice below the water i.e. the force displacing water, the water displaced, etc, so the berg falls until the mass above water plus the mass below water equals the mass of water displaced. might be clear to think of a force exerted down by the berg and up by the water, might need change to be physically correct unsure
