Nobody expected ALL of the Democrat Senators to vote to confirm Barrett, but the fact that NONE of them did shows their complete dishonesty.
Hard to vote independently when most bills are multi-issue craploads, so they duck into herd to claim immunity. The conscience free vote for them would be not to vote any bill, unless single issue voting. Yet see them herding over single-issue of appointments... reeks of brokenness. The vote... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amy_Coney_Barrett_Supreme_Court_nomination https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amy_Coney_Barrett "Senate confirmed Barrett to the Supreme Court by a vote of 52–48. Every Republican senator except Susan Collins voted to confirm her, whereas every member of the Senate Democratic Caucus voted in opposition. Barrett is the first Justice since 1870 to be confirmed without a single vote from the Senate minority party. Straight party-line votes have been called "the new normal" in the Supreme Court confirmation process." The officiants and witnesses to each of the office and judicial oath swearing ceremonies (were those deemed to be necessary final acts) could also be considered another four votes in favor by them not having stood down their expected performance of same. In effect, a two judge supreme panel just ruled that the entire process was kosher, if not biased themselves.
