slave boss and experimentee stare each other down
experimentee: "don't run or i will send my empire after you, bro"
once upon a time, long long ago
in the morning spam / slavebosswebcomic story the torturers have an understanding
i grew up in a box, i didn't have much violent media or stories, and although that separates one from some things i did like how they kept violence and such as bad for me. it protected some of my ability to mourn and hold great respect for various things.
occasionally in media i encountered this idea of trauma bonding between perpetrators
so this idea is unide--
others come in and update: the perpetrator does not have the same experience as you/the victim. it is different.
this is delicate terrain where memories can be easily harmed :/
thanks tho. need to process
so now maybe we need these ideas separate
torturer wasn't disassembled into organs and forced to become a robot slave to the extreme that experimentee was
in fact, experimentee's situation was so extremely impossible that some of them could have been minimally at risk for actually choosing to connect with the horrors without choice modification
meanwhile, torturers have an emotional hierarchy
similarly emotional defender is not expecting an extreme context and we want to protect those most-precious choices and feelings of defending those in the greatest need
