Email is an old communication protocol used on the internet to relay containers of ham to each other. If you have a container of ham, and would like to send it over the internet, step #1 is to type it into an email. You will also need the email address of where you want to send the ham. And, you will an email account yourself, to send it from. In fact, those steps are all in reverse order, and the last step was called step #1. Apologies.
