How about barbecued lamb with hummus (ground chickpeas) or home-cooked chicken soup with noodles or boiled beef with curry or very good goulash? And don't worry about getting fat. Places like ancient Sodom, King Solomon's Mines, Massada, The Tomb of Absalom, Mt. Tabor and Capernaum are scattered from one end of Israel to the other. You'll need some extra food to keep up your strength. To get you off to a good start, El Al will land you at Tel Aviv with a few hearty meals under your belt.
