No, it's there. It's under news. Sites tend to move former headlines onto the general news site - this makes way for the current headlines. Take a miniute to read before you post. Here it is: http://www.mirror.co.uk/shtml/NEWS/P17S1.shtml elyn

I did look, quite well. They seem to have put it back up... Learn to think before you post. On Tue, 17 Apr 2001, Elyn Wollensky wrote:

Ok Choate, what do you think happened in the 5 minutes between your post and mine? Do you think that perhaps you missed the article in it's new location (i.e.- removed from the front page & placed in the archived news list, as it was yesterday's headline, which - and I'm throwing a hint here - is procedure before putting up the new front page stories) or do you think it's a bit of random luck that in the 2 minutes between your post and my search for the article (mind you this is 6-7 hours after the Mirror put up the daily news site & most of the web-staff are probably out of the office for lunch - if not out till the next morning) they changed the site and put the article back up? Think hard & please be really specific, especially if you think that your post had anything to do with the Mirror "putting it back up". elyn

Right. Wired.com is better than most - our URLs have been valid since 1995 (with redirects for the older ones when we switched DB sw). Too many sites put up URLs with dynamic content (NY Observer comes to mind) or expire their content after a few weeks. At least the LA Times, which does this, puts up a "click here to buy" page. -Declan On Tue, Apr 17, 2001 at 08:40:56AM -0400, Elyn Wollensky wrote:
