Davis Computer Research Centre in the University of Waterloo campus. Robert Guerra from the Toronto Cypherpunks and cryptographer Richard Outerbridge will be discussing the lack of Internet privacy -- what can Web site operators find out about you without your permission, and how do they profit from it? There will be demonstration of the PGP software available to secure your e-mail from the FBI snooping tool Carnivore, a discussion of the Anonymity decision by the Ontario Superior Court and an update on the Canadian Privacy law. Those people already protecting their privacy with PGP will be able to exchange encryption keys. The Kitchener Waterloo Internet Users Group (KWIUG) has been meeting since 1995 to provide information about the Internet to everyone from "newbies" to experienced industry professionals. Meetings are free and open to all; there is no membership fee. KWIUG meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month in the William G. Davis Computer Research Centre on the University of Waterloo campus. For more information please see the KWIUG Website at <http://www.kwiug.org> or contact Bob Jonkman at <bjonkman@sobac.com> or by phone at +1-519-669-0388. - - ------- End of forwarded message ------- - -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGP 6.5.2 -- QDPGP 2.61a Comment: Ensure confidentiality, authenticity, non-repudiability iQCVAwUBOcg4Z6LoCveuM+mJAQFVDQQAmQBB7wySb88l7FXgpT7Yho1ynDQv6+9A UrcR/0oypT/xZ2qYRUmoAmISnsrxKEvhtZsYOrEpPDOSS3dL/tNGVmiSVTHl4xmS TPd1G5yv2djbV5zV13SBh+Q3iHXrozD/1Qm1oET4UE7QsCfByj5QWPEwgKHIu5tq 1/hO1KclnT4= =7hgY - -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ===== Bob Jonkman Voice: +1-519-669-0388 SOBAC Microcomputer Services E-Fax: +1-603-308-6118 6 James Street mailto:bjonkman@sobac.com Elmira Ontario N3B 1L5 Canada Networking -- Office & Business Automation -- Consulting RSA Fingerprint: 9FAF A6AC B567 BC10 8973 7CF0 CB27 0317 RSA ID: 0xAE33E989 mailto:bjonkman@sobac.com?subject=send_key Web site temporarily at http://www.geocities.com/bob_jonkman -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGP 6.5.2 iQA/AwUBOcihhsKdCsHMpdeSEQILEwCg766ubJvTIKrDhWXn/4A9mAxdDH8AoMou dsBepkUdu2sE2gwfU0Pgb7ZL =h2ou -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- --- Robert Guerra <rguerra@cryptorights.org> WWW Page <http://www.cryptorights.org>
