Is the abortion issue not important? http://www.cnn.com/ And finally, why will 'independent media' outlets not point this irony out? -- ____________________________________________________________________ If the law is based on precedence, why is the Constitution not the final precedence since it's the primary authority? Not at all. My initial point was that it had media coverage. It was simply a inquisitive observation about the priority setting mechanisms of the COMMERCIAL media and how even 'independent critical' press had economic incentives as well. It further demonstrate the asymmetry in the results with respect to what is 'important' enough to be 'news'. As I've said before in this forum, not all 'cooperative' behaviour is necessarily a 'conspiracy', if enough people act in concert the effect is the same. In many cases it is the quantity and not the intent that is important. Is the 'economic' theory of the 'guiding hand' not the same sort of 'conspiracy' theory? There's more in heaven and earth... ____________________________________________________________________ If the law is based on precedence, why is the Constitution not the final precedence since it's the primary authority? CNN.com may not have included it because the AP article did not show up on all feeds and Reuters ran one very late in the day. You used the CNN.com "example" as a way to launch into conspiracy theorizing, and you were wrong. -Declan On Thu, Mar 29, 2001 at 10:43:51AM -0600, Jim Choate wrote:

No Shit. Jim, take your damned meds, get off the high horse, and SHADDUP. Nice list of news outlets, Declan, maybe Jim would like to address the obvious conspiratorial implications of Ted Turner insulting xtians by asking if that was dirt on their foreheads, on Ash Wednesday. Right. I spent a year with the CNN.com/AllPolitics folks, and it is beyond inconceivable that they're not covering this decision for political/etc. reasons. Sheesh. -Declan On Thu, Mar 29, 2001 at 09:42:21PM +0500, Reese wrote:
