It is discouraging to see the disdain in which many of you hold the FBI during a time when we need cooperation and insight from nontraditional sources.
"we" --- do you mean "WE ALL need..." or "WE AT THE FBI need..." Or am I behind the curve on this one? You-all may have determined this some time ago, sorry if I missed the posts.

Interesting wording, indeed.

It has been often speculated. I had some private conversations with Ms. Farr a while ago. Personally, I doubt she's an FBI agent, but there's no reason to take unnecessary risks. -MW-
I was recruited to infiltrate "cypherpunks," a public mailing list. I did so by immediately pissing off your putative leader, known to have the personality of a pit bull. To gain admittance to your "inner circle," I expressed disagreement with damn near everything you said. To assist prosecutors, I quashed conversations that I deemed inciting. To cultivate sources, I defended law enforcement interests. Smoked out by CitizenQ. So great is my shame.... Since most of you wouldn't know an FBI Special Agent if one bit you in the ass, I suggest you stop worrying about them. ~Aimee

No Aimee, YOU wouldn't know a special agent if they bit you in the ass. While I don't know if there are people monitoring this list specifically, my bet is there might be and I certainly feel badly for the sorry fuck doing this shit detail who has to weed through your fantasy gibberish of being some super-cool undercover agent, and your pratling about what *they* are theoretically saying and doing. Either ante up your credentials (no super secret squirel decoder rings allowed), or shut the fuck up. And if you're still desperate for attention - go strip in traffic. Hell, it'll certainly pay more then your sorry law practice in that shit poor town you keep claiming as the new super-secret epicenter (and here's a tip, go read Chris Whitcomb's new book, that way at least you'll know the right words to use and the locations of the real field offices ... on the other hand, please don't). It wasn't "fantasy gibberish," my comments were intended as humorous, tongue-in-cheek response to repeated attempts of individuals seeking to ferret me out as an "FBI Agent." Jeesh.
Either ante up your credentials (no super secret squirel decoder rings allowed), or shut the fuck up.
Oh, please....

Federal agents said in sworn testimony that they monitor cypherpunks. No speculation required. I wrote about this in a cluebot.com article after the Bell trial. -Declan

It's OK - we can fall back on the key-ring decoder. Ken Greg Newby wrote:

Sage advice. You won't mind if I tell you to Fuck Off and Die, will you?
Easy on the paranoia and the abuse, folks. My attitude is that, so long as our public servants are doing what we actually pay them for (in this case, investigating a clearly common-law crime - mass murder), I will help if I can. That doesn't mean cooperating on a fishing expedition in my quarters. of course, but I will meet somewhere and contribute whatever I know about what they're looking into - not that I know a damn' thing besides what I pick up on CNN and on the various lists. We can ALL help by letting cooler heads prevail, and applying reason to the paranoid ravings that inevitably follow an outrage like this. In the last few days I have answered distraught folk who thought that: - the Towers were brought down by explosives; the 'planes were just a diversion! - the US government did this to justify repressive measures at home. - the inevitable Numerology freaks and those who find Biblical references in the numbers On the second point, there's no question that opportunists in government are taking full advantage, but I don't think the deed was done by government or under government auspices. It would make things nicely symmetrical, but life is rarely that way citizenq@hushmail.com wrote:
